Hi everyone!

A huge thank you to the people who have filled out my survey about the school experiences of females with Asperger's syndrome. You have been very generous with the information you gave, and I really appreciate it. This study is really important to me, it is the first time I am really succeeding at something, and as a female with Aspergers myself, I felt it was important I do something for my thesis which can potentially help others.

If any females with Asperger's Syndrome over the age of 18, or parents of a female with Asperger's Syndrome aged between 5 and 18 have not filled it out and would like to, type amaze australia into google (the website comes up second), click on 'get involved', 'research projects' and 'view current ASD projects currently recruiting participants' . My study is called ''the school experiences of females with Asperger's Syndrome: The recollections of adults and Perspectives of parents".

Thank you so much in advance, I have had 21 participants in the 6 weeks the survey has been up, and need at least 19 more. All the information you have given me so far has been great.

Thank you, mochadrinker, for dedicating your time and energy to such a wonderful cause; changes to the modern education system are much needed.

Best of luck to you on your thesis!

I filled in the one for adults, I have two daughter's with ASCs but the younger one probably hasn't had enough school experience yet (she went for 8 months, then I home-educated her for 2.9 years and she's just returned to school now and it's an ASC unit so perhaps not the typical school experience) and my other daughter is in denial about her AS so she wouldn't want to complete the questionnaire and I don't know if I know enough about her school experience to comment in depth. I know what problems she had socialising, but I wouldn't be able to comment about how she dealt at school with problems. So from recall of the adult questionnaire, I might not be able to answer some of the questions on her behalf. I would love to help more, if you think just being aware of her socialising problems is enough to fill in the form for her, do let me know.

Thanks from me too for doing such useful research. As you are in Australia, do you think there is any chance of the results of the study having an effect in other countries too?
