Well I do. I don't know if it's the AS in me or what but I can't stand my own posts. Once I post something I can't stand to look at what I wrote, my name, all of it. When I see where I last post it makes me antsy and wish someone would pop something in there to make my name drop. Is anyone else that way? Makes me feel like I'm "out there" exposed or something.

Yes. SOMETIMES. Especially since I'm not typing them in my native language. I'm a bit paranoid like that. :P

I know how you feel. I've felt that way before, too. One time I made this post on some ret*d NT message board that got all kinds of negative responses so I flipped out and typed message after message to lock the thread and delete it forever.

Nope, because I'm usually asking questions in my threads and even when I just make statements like in my "evil post number" thread, I like to see how people have responded. Other people may have said or asked something important, so it seems rude not to check back.

That is like asking if I dig through my trash after I get rid of it.

Hahahahaha. Oh man. That used to happen to me all the time. I'm so glad I found this site.

I'm always pressing that "Ego Search" link so I can see my posts and see if anyone has quoted me, so I can reply to their replies. Sometimes I make inflammatory posts and I can become a little nervous after doing so. I think that I could get banned, or no one will agree with me and my post will be flamed to hell and back

Don't get me wrong, I do read the replies. I just scroll away from mine real fast and don't like to look at my name on the main forum. I'm weird.

It depends. I've said a lot of stuff in various forums - especially when either debating or trying to make a point - and I sometimes read over it after I have posted. Usually, I just skim over it because re-reading takes up time.

I don't avoid but it does make me cringe to see myself in type. I guess it's related to not liking photos of yourself or recordings of your voice or even your reflection, as discussed on another thread. Do you think it's a specifically AS thing or just low self-esteem?

I think it depends but I certainly don't actively avoid my past posts.

a phobia will course you to avoid, You panic and want to get away or you stand they trying to... Your mind left and the body is still standing there... Basicly like a person scared of spiders except humans are more complex

Ah well, using that description I do not have a phobia of my own posts.
