Summer meltdown meds - experiences?
Page 1 of 1 [ 2 posts ]
Hi,
Over the years I have found that summer weather just throws me off. If the weather is 18 C or above I have a meltdown at least once a week, and severe sense problems. During the less hot months (all relative of course) I can go for months without a meltdown. While moving is not really an option for me at the moment, I was wondering if someone has some experience with short-time med use (or alternative methods) to temper down the problems. I am at a stage now that it is often debilitating and I am terrible company for my friends and family.

I do understand, since where I live it routinely gets above 40C this time of year. Since I had to work outside all the time until I was in my early thirties, heat is just something I have gotten used to, though I have never learned to like it. I just stay inside where it is cool as much as possible, and only venture out just before dark, or just after sunrise, to take my dogs for a walk, or do other things I need to do.
As far as meds go, you might find something for your nerves, but I've never heard of meds to make us less sensitive to heat. If you do find one, please let us know; I'll be fascinated.
Good luck.
