Kind of, but mainly the philosophical aspect.

In fact I majored in cultural anthropology.

Yes, more cultural geography than anything else, but I think that counts. I used to spend hours poring over National Geographics and books about other cultures, and still do read up on people around the world sometimes. But it interlocks with a general obsession with geography and MAPS! I love maps and read Atlases for fun sometimes.

I am a sociologist, not an anthropologist, but I have taught a couple of anthropology courses over the years. Many colleges don't have any anthropology faculty, so the sociology professors end up teaching the anthropology courses.

Anthropology is an interesting field. It is both a natural science (physical anthropology) and a social science (cultural anthropology and linguistic anthropology).

Yes, I'm interested in it-- took a few courses in college.

One of my favorite sites is http://blogs.plos.org/neuroanthropology/ , it's a blog about the mind and culture which I find completely fascinating.

I considered taking a course in social anthropology at university several years ago when I was young. I was interested in that or cultural geography (which I had been told I had a talent for). The problem was I couldn't figure out really the differences between anthropology, cultural anthropology, cultural geography, sociology, and so on, at that time. Where the one started and some other field takes over.

I don't give much thought to anthropology these days, but from an aspie viewpoint it is really very interesting. It is something I could see myself be interested in.

This character Bones Brennan in that TV-series Bones has quite a number of aspie traits and is an anthropologist. I think the character in the books is an aspie or something... I do see why an aspie could be really interested in anthropology.
