I had a day where people were generally hostile towards me, because I was in this mode of desperation where upon deciding on one thing I cling to it... and I created a stir, just with my very presence (due to visiting the place where the guy that used to live with me goes to every day - I was just too curious to resist).
Somehow this group of people started to give me all sorts of weird looks and asking questions... but then, at one point, after deciding to just lull about on some grass in the sun, seemingly not having a care in the world (it was actually quite relaxing... or at least that contrasted with the tense situation), this one guy approached me... the same guy (I think) who (I was told before) is supposedly planning to steal my phone (somehow, despite never leaving it out of sight) and/or beat me up... he came to sit near me on the grass to inquire about the situation, and I apparently gave him a great first impression when I told him that last time I lay on the grass like that was when I tripped... and since he happened to know what I was talking about and could relate, he ended up actually telling the pissed-off-guy-I-used-to-live-with that he likes me.
Not, I assume, in the sexual sense (although, at one point he removed his shirt and he was... ah, sexy) - but in any sense, at any rate, that's an accomplishment for people like us... right? Right?!
So, I don't know. Sort of confused, though... how a situation could go from rumours being spread about violence and theft to suddenly sharing a few moments of companionship. I seriously needed it... the only person who was friendly to me the entire day (they ended up phoning the police so I'd go away, but at that point I had everything I came for and more, anyway... more sun than I usually have in a year, too).
