Hi

When I'm bored I imagine sadistic thoughts in my head about people dying in gruesome ways and I find it funny (e.g. Ned out of the Simpsons being impaled by a rogue Javelin) I also find other people's trivial misfortunes (e.g. Forgetting to mail some important mail) funny and I feel nothing when I see these charities on the TV (except for ones to do with cats as they have a permanent place in my heart). I do have some morals as I don't find rape/sexual assault funny at all and I wouldn't think sadistic thoughts about my immediate family. Do other ppl (on the spectrum, Neurotypicals, other disorder) have these traits or similar traits?

P.S I've been diagnosed with AS

I frequently have fantasies of physically beating up the students from the high school across the street from my apartment, especially when they hang out all over my doorstep and only get up when they see me at my door about to go out. I used to have such fantasies when I actually was a teenager myself but couldn't really even hurt them if I tried. I have fantasies of somehow getting a gun and holding all the students (not the teachers, I'd make them leave) hostage. I don't want to actually kill them, I just want to see them terrified and wetting themselves because they think I will. I even made up a story about poisoning the cafeteria food and everyone eating it getting violently sick all over the place! Sometimes I even have dreams about beating up bratty kids or obnoxious teenagers and wake up punching the air. I dunno, maybe I'm like this because some of the cartoons I watched as a kid were quite violent and had yet to be censored.

I have violent thoughts at times but I know that I'll probably never harm someone (unless it were for self-defense).

I think most people have had violent thoughts at sometime.
OP I really don't see your thoughts as sadistic, especially the death of a cartoon character

Not really violent thoughts. But when im outside and hear people walking down the railroad tracks behind my house, I want to shoot off my shotgun like my Grandpa used to do. Not at them by the way

I imagine the torture of some of my ex-classmates, especially one that made my life impossible (Crushing him with a tank, an in-life autopsy, defibrillate him ). I'd never do it in real life: what is on my mind remains on my mind.

While I would never act on them, I still harbour thoughts of violent revenge against my tormentors and those who turned a blind eye to it. While I would never resort to violence, if I saw one of them bleeding on the sidewalk I would just walk by and let them die and not feel the least bit guilty about it, especially since most of them are pure evil to this day.

No, not really. Sometimes I mentally coreograph fight scenes; does that count?

Anyway, thinking about Ned Flanders getting hit by a javelin sounds like a rather obvious fantasy to me. I don't think it means you're violent or anything.

People getting hurt is exciting. Why do you think we enjoy action movies and horror movies so much? They're exciting. The threat of injury to the characters lets us imagine that safely, just like your daydreaming does.

You seem quite capable of keeping fantasy and reality separated. Just like I don't try to cast spells after I've read a Harry Potter book, you don't go after people with javelins after you've been daydreaming scenarios like that.

If you have a strong framework of ethics that includes something like, "Don't hurt people except in self-defense; don't hurt people more than you have to; don't create situations where people can get hurt," then you're just fine, no matter what gruesome things you might want to imagine.

BTW, have you ever thought of writing horror stories?

I also have a voice in my head telling me to do funny but anti-social things like one time my mum's friend was in the supermarket car park and she waved at me and I waved back and I had this voice saying "Slash her tires it'll be hilarious" I didn't but I found the thought of it was very funny and another time this old lady accidentally bumped into me and she said sorry and I made a big scene going "OWW OH MY F**KING GOD MY ANKLE REALLY HURTS!! !!" because the voice said it would be a laugh.

Don't call it "a voice in your head" or they'll think you're hallucinating!

Yeah, sometimes those thoughts do pop into people's heads. Like, everybody. "Hey, I could push my friend off this cliff right now!" Or, "Hey, I could run over that lady crossing the street!" You think it, dismiss it, and go on with your life.

I sometimes fantasize about torturing right wing talk show hosts. Drawing, quartering-William Wallace stuff. I don't think I'd do it in real life if I ever got the opportunity though, even though I think Limbaugh and Levin and everyone are only a step better than Lord Haw Haw.

Whilst an interesting thread, and Iam sure none of you would ever carry out your fantasies, I would strongly advise restraint, in fact I think they moderators should remove this thread immediately in view of this:- CLICK LINK HERE

Thats both America and Britain putting people in jail for posting such comments.

I think it's interesting to see what people feel is appropriate to post on a public forum.

Hj BritAspie, please dont think I was offended, I was purely worried about the possible results to somebody who in all innocence posts such thoughts online, especially were guns and children are involved, I wouldnt want to see anybody end up in prison just for posting a thought they have no intention of ever carrying out.

The truth is, you would know if you were sadistic, as you would constantly be having thoughts about harming someone or those closest to you, who may be sadistic themselves and are always trying something on someone else and vice versa, it leads to a mishap of unfortunate unruly events which play out over a course of time and space. I know as I was the victim of such an attach, by one person I should add, as they thought fit to punish me in their own cruel way by submitting me to mental torture of bullying behind my back or in front of me. It was always the one person too, for several years this happened, and she usually had an accomplice with her. Tbh though, all my year group at school, seemed to have these gangs they had to constantly be in, or they would feel excluded from the school group.
Were they aware of what they were like and doing to others? yep, I think so. WHY? because I reckon they had enough spare time and energy at home to plot their revenge in their sad middle class extreme narcissism world with dressing down the victim for their obscene pleasures.
As well as all that, they would wind me up, but prey on my verbal difficulties, as I often found thinking in class quite difficult. I probably would have been a member too of their little soviet union if I had copied them and read their thoughts. I'm glad I could and still can think for myself as well as speak up for myself when need be.
