My Doc just gave me a percription to help with some of the focus issues I've been having recently. Never taken it before. Any thoughts or advice?

It feels a lot like coffee without the physical jitters. You still have to know how to get organized and how to do whatever you're trying to do , but it will be a bit easier to learn because you'll be able to focus a little more easily.

With me and stimulants, though--one thing I learned is that I can't take the one-dose ones. I have to get the extended release version, because otherwise it's too high a dose at first, then too low a dose as it wears off. If you get that effect, ask about extended release.

It's not going to be a magic focus pill or anything, but if it works for you, it'll make it a little easier for you to use your willpower and concentration. Then you just have to practice using them--because if you're like most people with attention issues, you'll be quite out of practice.
