I don't know if it's my flat-footedness or what, but I constantly slip my shoes off my feet. It's not uncommon to see me at my desk at work with my shoes dangling off my feet. It's usually a subconscious thing, too; it's like my body just can't stand them after a while. I've been like this as long as I can remember, and it doesn't matter what type of shoe it is. I know of only two other people who have done this: a kid I went to grade school with, and my aspie-like nephew.

How about you? Are you fussy with shoes? Do you have a hard time wearing them for any extended period?

Not really....... but I am picky with the type I wear. I prefer athletic shoes for obvious reasons.

I really hate shopping for shoes. I usually prefer a fairly heavy duty work shoe that can easily last a year before it needs to be replaced.

I usually wear house shoes around the house. They are more comfortable, but not very suitable for outdoor wear. They wear out so quickly that I have gotten into the habit of buying multiple pairs of them on the rare occasion I do go to buy shoes.

I don't mind it. It's always easy to find a good pair of athletic shoes, IMO. :D

I have no problems with the shoes that i actually wear, but these are always the same shoes. (Sneakers from the same producer since 15 years.) Every 1-2 years, i buy new one ( i can do that from the internet, because the shoes only got new designs from time to time, but the inlay stays always the same) then my worn off shoes become my working shoes and my old working shoes become my gardening shoes.

I like to have enough space for my toes in the shoes, not only in the length, but also in the broad. I also like that my sneakers have a plastic protector all around the shoe, because with normal shoes i normally ruin the toetip of the shoe in no time.

At home i love to run around with no shoes.

I do the shoe dangling thing too. I'm also quite picky with what shoes I will wear. They have to be super plain white sneakers and quite comfortable. I have bought the same brand and model of them for around 10 years now, even though they have been updated a bit in that time. Given the choice though, I detest wearing shoes and prefer flip flops. I just don't like having my feet constrained by socks and shoes.

I'm very fussy with shoes. I only wear them when I have to, like when I'm at work. Otherwise, I don't bother. Then when I go shopping for shoes, I have specific criteria, like they can't be tight at all, I don't wear flip flops, if they're sandals, they must not have straps in certain places, etc. And of course, they can't have laces. I've always had a hard time tying shoe laces.

I HATE shoes. But not as much as I hate SOCKS@ :x I'm barefoot whenever I can be. It's so much easier to toe-walk while barefoot, and it's less sensory info on my feet. Socks are the worst because of their pointlessness and the fact that they make my feet unnecessarily hot. I haven't worn socks in close to 10 years.

When I was a kid I went barefoot from February to November. I only wear socks in the winter and I hate wearing shoes that tie because you can't just slip them off.

At work one time, my supervisor was showing someone around and brought him into my office. I was feeling around frantically with my feet trying to find my shoes under my desk so I wouldn't have to stand up barefooted.

I've noticed a regular pattern of uncontrollable itching and cramping when I wear regular shoes, when I tried Crocs it was like a choir going "whaaaa". They tend to be sized differently so I'm at a women's 9 where before it was a men's 10 that bulged out the sides. I endure the chaotic "98 cent plus" stores on the hunt for pairs in black and under $5, though I may have to settle on another color soon.

I wear the same trainers now I've found ones that are comfortable. I'll get another pair (perhaps in a different colour) when the old ones wear out.
I wear the same shoes too. I found a comfortable style and I go back and get another pair and turn the old ones into work/garden shoes.

Shoes is one of the hardest things for me to find. My feet are quite wide (no, it's not AS-related, before someone picks that out and starts a new thread claiming that Aspies have a certain-shaped feet), so I have to look for shoes like trainers for general weather, wide but soft boots for snow and other cold weather, and wide sandals for the summer. I can't get on with all these little dolly shoes or whatever they're called because a) fashion rules says you can't wear socks with small fart-arsing shoes without ''looking funny'', and I need to wear socks with all shoes except for sandals but they're open anyway, and b) my feet get cold in those sorts of shoes.

And I can't wear anything with high-heels because I'm 5 foot 6 and I don't even like being that so I don't want to look any taller.

In childhood, the tiniest difference in tightness between my shoes was like a "normal" person having one shoe being drawn as tightly as possible by the strongest arms in the world and the other so loose it was constantly threatening to fall off! Nowadays, though, I'm fine with REASONABLE effort to get them even, although I still sometimes have to try to get them acceptably so. It's why I tend to have them tied loosely enough for me to slip them on and off (except when playing Dance Dance Revolution when I perform better with them tight.)

Actually, I just now tried making the most extreme possible shoe tightness difference on my feet, and I'd say it's only about 10% worse than a small but noticeable difference!

I normally go for skater shoes like what I have right now is DCs with dr sholls in them. I like skater shoes because of comfort and easy to get in a size 13. Then i also have the laces to were i can slip in and out of them
