Research on Accommodations

I am doing research for my presentation at the retreat. What type of accommodations would make it easier for you to cope with so much of what makes it difficult to work, play, and feel less lonely [if you are]

Also, do you believe that acceptance as autisitics would make more of a difference than specific accomodations?

Work: A simple office where I control the lighting, the sound level, the odors, and who has access to it.

Play: More people who enjoy tabletop RPGs; people who show up on time, bring their own dice and books, understand all of the rules, and who respect the judgment of the referee.

Acceptance of autistics? What a concept!

For a workplace, an environment that allows for consideration of a question, either by peace and quiet, by being able to move around, or any other method that does nothing to detract from the ability of others to work.

For entertainment, I would borrow from Fnord above and suggest that there be more effective structure for individuals who might want to take up a particular pastime.

As fnord said, work environment that I can control lights and noises, and also flexible schedule.

For play, I like sports like ice skating and shooting hoops.
