It seems unheard of the be speedy or manicky on it, yet that is my situation. I am more chatty and probably do not enunciate very well and have more words come out than I can handle appropriately. On the positive side, I get things done. Before, there seemed to be no point in doing anything. I had been going to bed at 4 a.m. and now it is 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. Luckily, I have an evening job.

My boyfriend is on that, but I think it makes him more sleepy than anything.

It makes me have severe akathisia on effective doses, which is a kind of tormenting restlessness that makes it impossible to sleep and makes you feel like you have a worm going around and around inside your body, along with making you move, which relieves the torment only a little.

Thank you, everyone, for your replies. When I googled risperidone and being maniky, hypomania, etc., not much came up. A little about atypical side effects. That was pretty interesting.

I appreciate everyone responding.

I have hypomania side effect and it lasted for a number of years. I used to take 2 mg a day, but then e=when I was 10, I realized the effect it was having, so I destroyed the pills.
