Hey! I'm asking this because I meet all the criteria for ADD and it's becoming a serious problem and I was considering seeking a diagnosis for it. However, I was wondering if my ADD like symptoms could just be my autism, as I understand there's some overlap?

Does anyone have any advice, please? :)

I don't know anything anymore but I've got a visit to a psychiatrist in the works, whom I don't think will be able to officially diagnose me with either, but to whom I will present either as a possibility as what the f**k's wrong with me.

Yeah, I think ADHD type symptoms are a pretty common comorbid with autism.

But there is a difference (says the woman with the ADHD diagnosis).

It comes down to biochem: if you don't have ADHD, ADHD meds won't work on you.

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive - in other words, it is possible to have both.
