So, I never wear sunglasses. Even during the brightest days of summer. Even when driving. I just don’t like having the light filtered...

In any event, when others wear sunglasses, I look them directly “in the eye” (well, actually, straight at their sunglasses). But, I avoid this, once they remove their sunglasses. Anyone else notice this?

Yes. I also do not wear sunglasses because I prefer to see colors as they are naturally.

Also, I do the same as you when encountering people who are wearing sunglasses.

I use to never wear sunglasses but in the last few years I've been good about it, I noticed my migraines went down. Also my eye doctor said my eyes need the extra protection since I have light blue eyes and I guess that means I'm more prone to glaucoma.

I usually look at people's sunglasses when they're wearing them because I like to see my own reflection in their glasses, is that weird?

I don't wear sunglasses, because natural sunlight makes me feel happy!

And I don't interact with people enough to even know how I would react to someone wearing sunglasses. It would probably be the same for me – I sneak glances at their face now and then, but generally look away.

I ALWAYS wear sunglasses; I usually have a hard time going outside without them. I do prefer the looks of things without sunglasses, but my eyes are just too sensitive to bright light. I've found that more expensive sunglasses are better for minimizing any kind of color distortion, however.

Looking at someone's sunglasses is much less uncomfortable than eye contact in most situations. I also like wearing sunglasses when talking to people--they have no way of knowing if I'm looking at their eyes or not, and it makes conversation more comfortable for everyone.

Since I don't ever wear sunglasses, I am curious - do you look into their eyes, when you are wearing sunglasses, knowing that they cannot look into your eyes? I suppose not. Nevertheless, simply curious.

Also, for those who DO wear sunglasses, do you feel like these are almost like a mask? I have worn sunglasses a couple of times in my life. But, I always had the odd feeling that I was watching the scene, from afar, almost like through a television set. In other words, the few times I wore sunglasses, I felt more detached from the actual scene.

I wear sunglasses because I'm photosensitive and it can cause my focus to give, which is not good when you're driving.

I rarely look people in the eyes regardless of whether or not they're wearing sunglasses. I think I don't like faces.

I never thought about it but you're right in my case. If someone wears sunglasses I don't have any problem looking at them straight in the eyes..... or well straight at their sunglasses.

I never wear sunglasses. Not like it's needed in this rainy country.

I don't wear sunglasses either, no matter how bright in SoCal. I don't like how the world looks through sunglasses. I think I look people in the sunglasses when they are wearing sunglasses. The sunglasses are verry merry berry big salient feature on the face.

Unless the sky is extremely cloudy, I can't open my eyes outside unless I am wearing sunglasses. It is too bright. Without them, opening my eyes, even a little bit, is terribly painful.

I wear sunglasses outside. I sometimes wear sunglasses inside, particularly in stores with a lot of lights.

I wear photo chromatic lenses. I have big problems with glare in my eyes. The only time these lenses cause me problems is when I come inside. It takes a while for the lenses to change back to clear.

I find sunglasses disturbing on other people, especially larger frames. I don't like the facial obstruction.

I wear Sunglasses all the time outside, I am just more sensitive to light than other people, sometimes I wish that I could wear them inside because I find the light so bright that it makes me feel sleepy. While wearing sunglasses I actually can look at people in the eye, and I suppose in the rarer cases someone is wearing a pair and I am not, then I also don't have a problem.

I actually seem to remember a discussion ages back where some hear said they felt more anxious when someone was wearing sunglasses.

Since I wear mine so often it is pretty clear that I needed to buy a more expensive pair, which was something that is meant to be protective from a camping store. A little interesting that I had an interest in the use of different pairs, like how I used to have one that could pick up tinting as colourful, and was considering getting a much more expensive pair that apparently could remove glare so you could see below a water's surface which was used for fishing.

When I first started using them while in High School they were like a godsend as they could help with my problems that I found out were a sensitivity to light, but I know most people have a problem with talking to people wearing them so I have to conform.
