Have you ever had a special interest as a child, forgotten about it for years and then have the special interest return with a vengeance?

Yep. Recently my interest in Pokemon came back. It's been really nice.

For me it was accordions. I used to be obsessed with a picture of an accordion in a book when I was a child. That obsession didn't stay for too long because I eventually got bored of that picture and I couldn't find any more accordion-related stuff to look at. It resurfaced a little bit when my dad started to listen to traditional Serbian music. It turned into a full special interest when I started to listen to traditional Finnish music on my own at the age of fourteen.

Harry Potter went away and then came back but I think it may have been stronger the first time. It's something II'll always have an emotional attachment too though even when I'm not obsessed with it.
