Do you have facial asymmetry? I heard that it's caused by infections/other anomalies during the pregnancy or something like that, and it's pretty interesting because I also heard that many aspies have been premature births too, maybe both autism and increased facial asymmetry have a connection to such development-distruptions during pregnancy?

Also asymmetry and personality correlates with some autistic traits:

Quote:
The most consistent finding is that facial symmetry is positively correlated with extraversion, indicating that individuals with more symmetric faces are also more extroverted.[4][17][18] More symmetrical faces are also judged to be lower on neuroticism but higher on conscientiousness and agreeableness.[19] More symmetrical faces are also more likely to have more desirable social attributes assigned to them, such as sociable, intelligent or lively.[18]

I have moderate asymmetry, and definitely had a traumatic pregnancy and birth. I've always felt self-conscious about it, but like so many autistic symptoms, it's strangely comforting to know that this is actually fairly typical, and just another part of the package deal!

I'm pretty sure no one has a perfectly symmetrical face, though. I'd guess I have the normal amount of asymmetry (not noticeable unless you closely study my face).
