I was born with no depth Perception or at the very least I am not able to see 3D movies.

I have a Lazy eye. As a Child in preschool I wore a Patch and the lazy eye went away but, in the last 6 or so years the lazy eye has come back.

Wore Glasses till I was 13

At a very young age(have no recollection of this) I had tubs put in my ears. When they fell out one left a hole in the ear drum of my right ear. Since then I have been plagued with ear infections my whole life. As a child, the hole kept getting bigger to the point I would get a ear infection once a month. When I was 12 I had to have surgery to put a fake ear drum in the ear. After the surgery I would still get ear infections but, not as often. As a young Adult I still got ear infections and my doctor though it was strange for me to get ear infections past childhood. I still get ear infections till this day but, in the last few years it has been much less.

I haven't done extensive reading on Aspergers/Autism but from what I have read do not remember them being connected. I think they may be in different areas of body development.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with Aspergers as I suppose anyone could have this problem. But I too have had problems with my ears my whole life. I had tubes in my ears as a kid and got ear infections once-twice a year up until I was 21. I think it's been 2 years since I've had one now!

My only problem with ears, was as a child I had constant ear infections. Otherwise my eye sight is still better than 20/20 and I'm 24. All my family members wear glasses except me . I'm really fortunate.

No ear troubles, ever. My younger sister had terrible ear infections as a small child, but she is neurotypical, except for a touch of dyslexia.

Didn't need glasses until my mid-twenties, even though the rest of my family had all had them for years.

I'd certainly get contact-lenses if my vision was bad enough to require me to wear my glasses while in public.

Yes.

Not sure about lazy eye, but changing vision/visual perception is a trait of ASD. Sometimes I can read certain text from a certain distance, other times it's been blurry. Some people here have written about their vision becoming super magnifying.

I believe it was in "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome," by Tony Attwood, but I know I have read that ear infections as an infant are very common among those on the Autism Spectrum. I know from talking with my mother that I had terrible ear infections as a baby and that had I had just one more they were going to put tubes in my ears. As I've shared, I believe the root cause of these ear infections to be oral/systemic thrush.

My eyes can be blurry one day and then sharp the next. I do have 20/30 vision. Funny thing is I have been told I have no depth Perception but, have no problem driving or telling distance. On the other hand I have never been able to see a 3D movie.

I have noticed a lot of people, young people on this site who post pictures wearing glasses, perhaps disproportionate to the general public.

One of my eyes is way worse than the other one. Two optometrists thought I had a lazy eye. My latest one actually took the time to get my prescription right. It turns out that I don't have a lazy eye. I just had uncorrected astigmatism.

I don't really get ear infections. I used to have sensitive ears that popped whenever I went on airplanes or drove up mountains. Luckily I outgrew that problem.

I used to have this problem when I was stubborn about wearing my glasses. After I started wearing glasses more this problem disappeared.

i have very bad depth perception, i cannot play sports and i have to be careful when i pick thinks up. the most problems i had were with my ears, i used to get really bad ear infections before i got tubes in them, i had 10% of my hearing is gone but it doesnt affect me unless im in a quiet room and then all i can hear is a ringing noise which is painful.

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence that suggests kids on the spectrum often have a lot of ear infections. I have never seen anything about eye problems. However children on the spectrum don't necessarily have frequent ear infections and kids with frequent ear infections don't necessarily have autism. I would treat ear and eye problems medically as their own issues - having autism wouldn't change the treatment anyway.

I remember having an ear infection once when I was around 10-11.

Anybody think it could be related to the fact that people with AS are sensitive to outside-noise, and are often easily distracted by it?

Eye and ear problems are common to all humans, and are NOT symptoms of AS.

Otherwise, all people with AS/ASD would be reporting them.
