What would the world be like if every person (or almost every person) was an aspie? This is just theoretical of course. :P

No one would have conversations with anyone else (only monologues).

Poor people with HSD (Hyper-Social Disorder) would look at us and post on their discussion boards: "Ahhh... These NTs, they have it easy!".

There is no better way of conversing than a "double monologue": two people taking turns monologizing.

I would be sooo glad, because I wouldnt have to resort to the internet to let everyone know what was on my mind. And there would be no war, no pop music, no famine, no poor people. Well I don't know really, it all would proably depend on how politics would work with only aspies deciding everything..

Well in all likelyhood policies formed would be more rational. The bottom line would be individual freedom rather than money. Also more funding will be directed to maintaining the environment, solving the problem of poverty etc.

There will still be democracy, but everyone will be perceptive enough to make intelligent choices when they vote; They will source out the most logical , the most beneficial, and not based on who is more persuasive or charming in their actions.

In the developed world, there will be a huge change in how the mass media is utilized. We would see less advertisements persuading us with flashy visuals. More focus will be on the capabilities of a product etc.

In short, less emphasis will be placed on pretty exteriors and more focus will be placed on the search for Deeper Meaning.

As well as a search for deeper meaning of existence, we will finally be free to live in our own little bubbles without intrusion. No one will question me if I start talking to myself because they would probably do it as well. The world will be far more equal. There may not even be money, and so no crime! It wil be awesome!

What would happen if a few hundred NTs were 'alone' on the planet?

my interpretation of NTs: Their greatest obsession is 'people'.(no other obsession, or maybe some "mini obsessions")

So would they search the world until they found someone similar to themselves or would they get great depression?

I think that the world would be a far better place. There would be less population problems, less rampant rape of the planet for senseless reasons, and less materialism. Socially we would be less organized, and I think that if there were positions of leadership, people would almost have to be drafted into them, rather than competing for them, sort of like they do for jury duty. "Eeeeek!! !! Me, a mayor? Me, a congressman? Nooooooo!! !"

I'd like to think that we'd be a whole lot easier on the HSD's than they have been on us. I think that, as a rule, aspies have much less tendency to want to force their will on other people, or our ideals. I'm an agnostic/atheist, but I would never begin to consider burning Christians at the stake or saying that soem awfullly painful catastrophe awaits them if they don't adopt my stance. The very notion seems invasive.

It has occurred to me that Japanese culture would probably be eaiser on an aspie in some ways. No eye contact, for example, strict and predictable social rules that aren't unspoken...zoning out is a lot like meditation, a need for solitude wouldn't be punished there...etc etc. Opinions?
