so most of the family in my fathers side of family suffer from mental illness they are on medications, shock treatment etc
recently one of the aunties died she was sick and in out of hospital for a while.
i didnt attend the funeral since she wasnt in touch with me from a longtime plus
most of the people are sarcastic in my fathers side of family they wait for a turn to degrade or bring a person down.
so i avoid that nonsense

her daughters have taken divorce and are living as paying guest in some obscure place.
i dont feel any guilt tooo....
but i do feel odd and someday when i die the situation would be same
there wont be people around during funeral.
since im asocial also

The same goes for me. When I die there won't be anyone around. Hopefully they'll get to my corpse before it starts decomposing and stinking up the place.

It was a bit of a revelation to me to realize all the old relatives who died alone without a single friend or family member at their funeral, except family members who didn't even know them, likely meant my family had a LONG history of unsocial people.

^ This too sadly. Currently I fear for my cat if I should die when he is still around, he will have no one and as he is 18 will probably be put down by the SSPCA.

^ +1

I have three cats and I really worry about what would happen to them. Your cat can come live with us CosmicRuss, we've been one black cat short since 2009

Maybe we should start a WP Repository of Aspie Cat Caretakers?

I dont think its something one should think to much about.

I mean i know it will be like this, and its not like ill be there dead and be all sorry, unless you believe in that sort of thing.

And even more so, i know it will be like this when my mom dies, because there is no other family to speak of literally. So ill be the only one in the church.

Is there anyway that you can begin to make a difference in your life and to reach out to others, so that when you die, people will come to your funeral, because you showed love?

I'm sorry if what I am saying sparks some sadness and anxiety in you. But Asperger's is not an excuse, it's a challenge. And I think that you (Red Robin) have so much to offer that you can help the autistic community.

Please think about it. I've always enjoyed your posts, and I know that you are a good and sensitive and talented man. What if you decided to spend your time loving and sacrificing for others?

I think the same thing, too. Although I'm not planning to be dead any time soon, I can't imagine I'll have anyone around when I die in the future. I'm close to my family but I live overseas.

I guess because I'm a priest, I know that if I die, people will be at my funeral...I guess that's a blessing of being a priest.

Oh yeah, how can an Aspie be a priest? I like ritual. I use scripts. But like most Aspies I do love people dearly.....

I sort of wish more Aspies would become priests and nuns. We are such a special and sympathetic species.....we suffer so much....we are so tolerant of so many people....

i would love to be a preistess....it involves so much power and respect.
the whole idea of people coming upto you with respect...
but being shy and lack of eye contact could be really downer to become a priestess
and seriously this generation wont respect anybody like this who isnt confident

My biggest fear in life is that my cats survive me. There are no animal shelters in my country. Currently I'm in touch with someone who I know would see to them (I've made her my heir for that), but I don't know what the future will bring.
