All throughout my life I've noticed a tendency. I'm in a noisy, bright environment and I feel like I'm in a war zone; I keep slipping into my own thoughts, I feel very tired, and my ability to interact is diminished. I will then move to another location, like a dimly lit conference room and sit down. I will then feel a wave of relief, but also a fog, a fog that buffets me and keeps me safe. I may hear the ruckus in the distance, but it is so quiet I feel like I am in the back of a cave that leads far behind a waterfall, a protective space. I will then simply sit and do nothing but concentrate on the fog, the distance of the sounds, and the feeling of relief.
Does anyone else experience this?
