I have now removed "(severely affected)" from my signature describing my autism.

I am no longer totally crippled by Asperger's, I am living a life with the benefits of Asperger's.

I still have bad sensory issues (I live in sunglasses and noise-cancelling headphones) and I still have great difficulty understanding and relating to people. I still talk in a monotone and struggle to understand or show emotions.

However I can carry a conversation now and I am hoping to make some new friends at an AS social club.

I know the meltdowns still happen on a daily basis and that I go mute in parties / lectures / social events, but I am working on that.

I'm not "mild" at all. I'd say "moderate".

But I am enjoying my special interests and I'm embracing the fact that I don't socialise much as it gives me more time with my textbooks and my computer games.

I am happier now. My OCD and psychosis are not too bad either.

Just wanted to say.

Yay! *throws confetti* I hope you like confetti? You are seeing the positives of yourself more. I am getting intensive support through my insurance and making slow improvement...but am happier as I get part of help I have needed my whole life.
