I just took the test. I scored a 93, it bassically told me i'm aspie:

Quote:
Your Emotional IQ is in the average range. Essentially, you're able to recognize and deal with your own emotions and those of others in a reasonably effective manner. This is likely evident in your ability to relate to others, express your needs, and maintain a satisfactory level of emotional health. Since your score is in the mid-range, however, you are not taking full advantage of your potential. By learning and practicing new skills and more effective ways of dealing with people, you could increase your EIQ. After all, we can always improve our communication, ways of relating to others and resilience. The benefits will be numerous, including stronger relationships, a more successful career and better emotional health. Most of all, you will be an all-around happier person.

77, here. I tried to be as honest and accurate as I could.

Somehow I expected more questions.

I got 82, but I question whether some of those questions are about "Emotional IQ" so much as self-esteem. I already know I'm as thick as a brick where emotions are concerned, but I don't feel BAD about myself.

"When I mess up, I say self-depreciating things..."
"...there are so many things wrong with me that I simply cannot like myself."
"My life is full of dead ends."
"I am unhappy for reasons that I can't understand."

These are the sorts of things people get asked when they're being assessed for depression, aren't they?

On the Wired AQ test br Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen, I scored 41 out of 50.

On the EQ test of which link was posted in the original message, I scored a 66.

I scored 106.
Atm my life is as stable as it has ever been so that explains it.
In the past i would proberbly have scored far worse though.

I'm curious if anyone else here has ever taken the "Emotional IQ" test..
I took it today and scored 66 on a scale of 50 to 150, with 100 being average, which makes sense.

If anyone wants to take a look...

Seems like there are some good questions there...
There is more in depth version somewhere but I don't remember.

I also scored 41 of 50 on the wired test.

First off IQ and EQ are diffrent things; there's no such thing as emotional intelligence (though the control freaks who rule society would have you belive It's not so).

Note too that, the "E" in EQ referres to Empathy...so you think it implies "concern" or "sympathy"? Think again (and check with a good encyclopedia...) and note that it just implies the abilty to understand and manipulate others, for good or ill.

I got a 73 on that. It's about what I expected. I'm not confident at all--that's my problem.
