In the interests of neutrality, I will not mention the word explicitly.

I should say, that every time I hear a certain word that starts with the letter "A", I dance for joy.

What is your favorite word, and how does it make you feel?

My favourite word would have to be:

ethereality

I LOVE that word, and I can't provide a description that could ever give justice to how it makes me feel. The shape of it, the sound, 'e' as the first letter, especially the meaning.

It fills me with joy and life and nature sensations - like light, and the wind, and colours. That sort of thing.

Ephemeral too, which is similar in composition and meaning. Ethereality remains my favourite.

^^ I believe I certainly like many happy words. Alas I believe those that bless me with much excitement are pixie, happy and Gaia. ^^ I believe I very much enjoy the way that they sound and the way in which these sounds appear to complement their meanings.

For the sound, I like 'anthropomorphic.' I like the 'puh' in the middle.

For the meaning, I like 'homunculus,' which is the little man who lives in your head and works the levers.

I love vowel-laden words, like oodles and oa combinations, like loaf.

I don't have a single word that I fixate on but there are certain phrases that get stuck in my head that I repeat to myself when I'm alone. Mostly they come from movies, books, songs, tv shows, etc. I often say they several times using different accents each time. The two that immediately come to mind are: "'Br'er Rabbit much too bossy!' say Br'er Fox to de Br'er Bear," and "If you don't eat your meat you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"

talking about homunculus, since alot of people don't know the word, and since I wasn't really good at retorts, using the definition of homunculus loosely, I used it as an retort/insult, it still makes my wife laugh when I say it

Can you give us a hint such as what it means or any synonyms it might have?

Come to think of it, I do have a certain fondness for words that begin with X or Z. I remember xiphias being my favorite word for a while after I learned it. I also like xylophone, zebra, zoology, and zephyr.

When I used to overuse 'homunculus' as a kid, I often used it as an insult, because, well, it jsut sounds like one....and it shut the other stupid kids up. It worked so well, in fact, that my best friend began using it habitually, as well, for the same purpose!
