On my Pandora, a commercial keeps coming up. for college for students with learning disabilities. (The ad seems more aimed at the possible students' parents rather than the students themselves.) I kind of imagine myself going, fitting in. But of course I'm three times a " normal " students' age, and crippled , and social status-wise pushed to washy below " normal " level . When I've seen " sppeciall " schools, " for us "_I've imagined going, and fitting in .

...Not answering you right now, R....I will admit that what I talk about vaguely fantasizing here is different from the fantasized going to uni that I mention in my sig - That's. sort of " imagining I'm a cool and groovy late/post-teenager ", while the fantasizing sparked by the LD college/etc. ad is more of being a little " younger ", and getting some accomodations/status as Aspie/AS_Many people here younger than me likely were DX'd far earlier and therefore had the " ASD" status in school and I could imagine it being a mixed blessing - but nonetheless .

...Where are you? Britain? From my slight reading of the University Third Age - It''sIt'' s probably good, but I was sort of wanting something more among the lines of " standard "/" real " university - Frankly, though it may be sad & unfortunate, I never really led a " full life " - Kind of? - so, I'm not that much like a " normally " retired/semi-retired experience " to contribute that they might - I'm kind of like someone who never really got to take that journey to " full adulthood " - maybe.

That's what I hate about the media. Most commercials about the success of people with disabilities are more aimed towards parents than they are towards us. I also hope that you get to go to college one day. If anyone deserves a chance to thrive, it's you.
