This will probably sound like I'm an astrologer commenting on the starsign Aspie, but here goes
' You have an inherent sense of fairness and honesty, but be careful that you are not too
honest for your own good. You should balance your honesty with tact in case of inadvertently
offending people.Whenever you consider someone a friend you will be a loyal and trustworthy
support to them'

Cool to be as aspie? Maybe it is cool to be an aging beatnik, a fat smell hells angel, an barrel shaped middle aged woman from a hick town but it isn’t cool to be an aspie.

There is one woman at work thinks, I like being different and being misunderstood that is why I say I have Aspergers Syndrome; I only say it because it is the truth.

open minded? humphh. If they are so open minded then how come my own aspie can't be open minded about ABs? My ex is right, he told me if he were an aspie, he think the diaper thing is wrong and because I act so immaute, my bf keeps mixing me with real kids and babies. Everytime I act like a child or a baby, he refuses to be with me thinking he is with a real kid or a baby depending on my age I'm acting. I watch kid shows, play kid games, play with toys, have a blanket and stuff animals, pacifers, bottles. He is so literal in this area while other apsies I met online weren't. They still saw me as my age, not a kid or baby. boy do I owe an apology to my ex.

it is cool to be whatever personality and brainfunction you are, as long as you use it to do something you can do with your life and not use it to hurt others.

unless you mean the social model of cool... in which case no. but does it matter?!

I beg to differ. I think it depends on individual personality which is not dependent on the aspie traits entirely. I have seen quite a few comments on threads on this site that show a great deal of closed mindedness to the degree I have been shocked. I think many are open minded, but also some are very much not open minded.

I suppose it depends on who you ask.

Yeah, depends who you ask. Isn't "cool" defined by others? What's the opposite of cool?

That's Savanstism(sp?) We're not all Isaac Newtons or Bill Gateses, though there are probably a few more Bill Gateses here, though! We don't have superpowers like the X-Men or something. Some of us do, and that's nice for them, but on the whole, we're just your average, garden-variety nerds.

I like to think of Aspergers as being a medically diagnosed geek. Not a bad thing, of course, just that we are different from the vast majority. I tend to use my AS as a badge of honor, as well as an excuse to make fun of people who get caught up in the very things we Aspies don't even notice.

Relax, I'm sure you'll find yourself an obsession very soon!

Mental maps? Like Synthenasia? Sythenasia is an old obsession of mine. Is this it?

If so, that's really cool.

As for controlling the blackouts, I have no idea what you are talking about or even if it's a joke.
