The Wrong Planet is getting annoying thread is damaging

I feel a thread like that is likely to put off new members from asking questions.

And yes the place is annoying because it is full of people with autism.

We get rejected by regular people because they say we are annoying.

Wrong Planet has been very helpful to me and many others and yes we know we are annoying we don't need a thread putting off new members.


I may be wrong so I have included a poll.

Should the thread I mentioned be locked?

It's taking everything in my power not to post a cat picture here.

No, it shouldn't be locked. I don't like the practice of locking threads readily, because they might have certain effect on certain people, who knows if they will have that effect or not, and it is fine for people to mention what behaviors they find annoying in other people, and other people are still free to engage in those behaviors.

I'm just surprised the arguing has continued for 31 pages. Speaks for itself.

It's funny two of the people that have replied here have pictures of cats beside their name.

Three now! You should post a pic of a shark.

And there really isn't any more arguing, just someone trying to psychoanalyze the pictures. There hasn't been arguing for a while.

I think I opened it once, and haven't since.

I'll spread my sweetness in that thread.

I don't know much about that particular thread - I've kind of been steering clear of it cuz I feel like a thread like that is bound to cause some hurt feelings.

Maybe merge all of the posts of people being annoyed at the website into one big topic. Then it will get legitimacy and marginalization all at once.

I would not guess to lock the thread, I have no interest.
