I remember when I was little, me and my parents went to Texas to visit my mom's friend. She had two children. There was a boy and a girl. The boy had a pet snake that I liked to play with. I don't remember much, but they also had a black kitten named Velcro because it would cling to your pants.

But my favorite is Florida. Me and my dad go to Florida every year. I like going swimming. There's also an anime store in Florida that we go to called AnimeNation. Then there's this restaurant that we eat at. You can eat outside by the beach and watch the sunset, and there's a guy playing a guitar and singing. It's very nice.

I spent three weeks in Britain and Ireland with 30 or so other people my age(6th grade). I had fun ever though I was bullied and almost sent home for complaining about it to the leader as her child was the ringleader.

Our family spent a week in New York City last year. It was fabulous! My parents go all the time, but I'm going again with them next year. I'd like to live there sometime.

In 1999, I went to Europe with thirty other people. We stayed in Germany and Austria mostly, as well as speding time in Italy.

My parents and I go to Melbourne, Australia to visit our family every so often. I love it there. I'll probably move there eventually.

Our family might be going to Britain and Ireland next summer. I am looking forward to it.

I just got back from Kaua'i, Hawai'i. We had a blast, snorkeling in warm bath water temperatures and walking around in the constant 80 degree weather. We visited Hanalei, where the movie, "Puff the Magic Dragon" was filmed. We took a catamaran along the Napali Coast, where "Jurassic Park" was filmed as well as other movies. The scenery was breathtaking.

We also attended a Luau, where were shown the differing types of Polynesian dance. They also had a fire eater that was pretty cool.

Maybe the best thing? We saw Pierce Brosnan and my husband went up to him and shook his hand...cool.

Tallgirl.

I am the only one in my family who has never been outside of Wisconsin or Northeast Illinois. :(

So I guess Wisconsin Dells is the best.

I've been on a few vacations. First one was to chicago in 1988. I went in the sears tower, went to one of the art museums and saw american gothic, as well as the sea-quarium. The most bizzare part of the whole trip was a wendys restaraunt that sits over interstate 94 a few miles into Illinois.

In 1990 I went to wisconsin dells, and up to door county and washington island.

1992 - my family went to great america where I got sick and threw up in the amsument park royally pi**ing off my dad. The next day heavy rain forced our vacation to end early.

Is the Wendy's you're talking about The Lake Forest Oasis? Its about 30-45min south of me (I live just a few miles north of the IL/WI stateline) There are a lot of them in the Chicago area but they are all closed down at the present time for renovations. Last time I was at one of those was April 13th 2003 at the O'Hare Oasis which had some type of Hot Dog place there instead of a Wendys. We stopped there on the way to Joliet, IL for my birthday so I could make an aircheck tape of a station down there as my birthday presant.

I went to Egypt last September.

It was the most fascinating place I have ever seen. I had a wonderful time, and would love to go back again.

I don't remember exactly, this 17 years ago.

Although I do remember it on the way down to Great America in 1992.

During our 1988 trip on the way back I begged and begged for my parents to stop off at it on the way back. It was fun standing at the window watching the cars drive by underneath.

I also remember that there were expansion joints in the floor. Never saw that in restaraunt before.

I've been on many vacations. It's hard to pick the best one since each were memorable for completely different reasons.

Honolulu, USA - My first "paradise" vacation. Everything before that was just travelling to another city to visit friends or relatives. I rented a kayak and paddled out into the Pacific to look back at Diamond Head and was blown away by the "I can't believe I'm really here" feeling.

Shanghai, P. R. China - My first trip outside of Canada/USA. Even though the reason for the trip was pretty sad (my partner's father was terminally ill and died about 8 hours after I arrived), it was my first experience with true culteral diversity and really improved my self-confidence. I went over there knowing a total of about 20 words of Mandarin, but it was enough.

Veradero, Cuba - It felt strange being in the one place on Earth where you're not surrounded by tourists from the USA.

Haad Rin, Thailand - Koh PhaNgan island is home of the world-famous all-night full-moon beach rave. An unimaginable paradise. It was the absolute highlight of my recent 28-day trek through southeast Asia.
