I believe that most of us have a few extremely NT like quirks. My most extreme NT like characterisitc [ more NT ish than most NT's] is my constant matchmaking attempts.

How about you guys?

Me: No seem to got.

Thought this thread would be about most salient NT characteristic in NTs. In which case I would say, "being indirect or obscure in what is being said", which in my language is called "lying".

I try never to do that anymore, however there were times in my life when I was indirect and obscure in what I said. I think it was out of a lack of confidence. I didn't dare be direct. In some way it seemed easier to obscure what i was saying, because if i was direct I thought somebody might be mad at me. At least if I was indirect and obscure, if it was something that was going to upset somebody, they might not get the real intention of it, and it might save me an episode of somebody getting upset with me. I know it is irrational, but this is the way I used to be.

Edit: Ironically, It probably made people upset with me.

Edit Edit: Actually I know it did. No probably about it.

I like fist-bumps because it gives me a chance to take out my agression against somebody by punching their fist much harder than they expected :)

Here we are again mixing up NT with extroversion.

Fist-bumps are the epitome of neurotypicality. They are used to prevent the transmission of disease. Handshakes are seen as more risky. I prefer handshakes myself.

I'm very quick on the draw with sarcasm; people often find I have a sharp sense of humour. I also have a knack for grasping metaphors and love reading them in novels.

I'm very sarcastic and pick it up relatively easily, I also quite like gossip.

Ummm.... I have a Facebook? With actual friends on it? And sometimes I even use the Chat feature. That's surely gotta count.

I absolutely love being told all the gossip at work.

I don't particularly notice what is going on myself and I don't socialise outside work but I have my reliable sources who keep me up to date.

I can usually understand jokes and sarcasm.

I have common sense, I don't need everything said to me in a precise, concrete way.

I am not honest all the time.

I am sensitive to other people's thoughts and emotions.
