Just an interesting video on Empathy from a person on the spectrum. I can say... I do agree, for me perhaps how I feel it like some kind of strong energy, a weight on my solders that is inappropriate, I cant describe it all too well still... Any online description can't detail how I feel it and perhaps that's why it can seem I don't feel it... :?

I also agree. There's points where I can't fully express how I feel about something because I haven't fully processed how I feel.

Like when someone's child at family reunion or other such gathering falls down an cries, I just stand there feeling, for lack of a better word, awkward, and someone else inevitably steps in to assist them. What is that? Is that what you are talking about?

YEEEEEESSSS I wanna kiss this guy!!
This is exactly what I feel and he explained so well
1) personification of objects
2) being overwhelmed by feelings and other people's feelings

I know this is not true for everyone in the spectrum but for me this is soo true. I wonder when will specialists start recognizing those different types of empathy!
If for instance something bad happens to someone my usual reaction is not to express confort or the feelings directly but to run away from the situation. This is not being insensitive but overwhelmed! Next reaction for me would be later probably at night or some days later when I have finally digested and understood the feeling is crying on the shower or bed.

I am sure of few things in my life but something I am sure of is that I have hyperempathy, much much more than other people. I even feel bad for others when they are in situtations they are not even feeling bad themselves! no exaggeration.
