Sensory issues?
I have been thinking about sensory problems, do I have them or not? I will try to talk about all of problems that seems to be unusual for me.
Sight
When I am looking at the sky, I can see ring shaped waves moving towards center of vision, sometimes they form a shape of flower (head part) also floaters appear, it is making my eyes little bit exhausted after some time.
When exiting the building, bright sun can cause pain in my eyes and sometimes when it is too bright, so I have to keep my eyes half open or wear sunglasses.
When person is in dark hallway and there is bright window behind that person, this person seems to be very dark, I can't see that person's face at all (or very little).
When looking at the floor with design that has dots or stripes, floor seems to be waving like calm sea.
Sounds
I can't understand other person talking if there is sudden noise, noise "dominates" person's voice.
When others speak, their voice is like mixed together, I can only hear person next to me or the loudest one.
When cars are driving past me on street, they seems to be quite loud and might cause headache if I do not go to quiet place, also it is hard for me to hear other people.
I can't "filter" out other noises.
Touch
I can't stand to be touched near my ribs, I am trying to escape uncontrolled.
When I am wearing socks, they have to be low, because when they are high, part of leg covered with sock is itchy when it is moving.
When I like some texture, I will be like my cat (she loves to be in plastic bags or in boxes).
Taste
I don't remember anything but being little bit picky eater, because of taste or with what food is made.
Smell
I can't smell some "bad" smells, but others are complaining about it.
Balance and hand-eye coordination
I can't play ball games, because they need a lot of movement and I can only do one or few at time (e.g it is hard for me to hit a moving ball while running)
I am very bad at throwing objects, I throw them few meters away from me.
When i am standing for some time, I am going to "swing" on my feet.
When desk is messy, someone is talking to me and other noises, it is causing me anger, is it because of sensory problems?
Welcome to WP Sisaliker.
It definitely sounds to me like you have Sensory sensitivities. You have some that are different from mine but you are sensitive none the less. And yes, sensory issues can cause feelings of frustration and anger. I know they can certainly do that for me. It comes from being overwhelmed. I can absolutely relate to that.
