I just want to vent my frustration with job interviews.

I have been searching for a few months and have been on about 5 interview. I sent out about 50 resumes so that is actually pretty good odds where I live. My issue however is that I usually impress people to a certain degree. They are just about to hire me and then I say something completely off the wall that makes them stop in their tracks. This last interview, I was on my way out the door when I said "I better run my cars about to get towed". I looked up and saw one guy shaking his head and looking at the ground right after I said it. I, at least, know I have learned through the years. In the past I would not have even notices this negative gesture and would have though everything went extremely well.

I do this sort of thing all the time. I sort of get excited when I feel something is going well and then I screw it up by just letting a thought fly out of my mouth. My friend calls this "a brain fart". Funny term but it describes it very well. Its almost borderline tourets.

Overall the job search has been extremely painful and challenges my condition more than anything. The only thing coming close to it is online dating. I finally settled on a job that does not pay very well at all. It was my only offer in this entire time of searching.
