I've been watching the real Ghostbusters series boxset (some of you might be as well), and I'm wondering who else thinks that Egon and possibly Ray Stantz as well had AS?

With Akroyd's admittance, I'm wondering how many people involved with Ghostbusters real-life or fictional may have been Aspies.

Wouldn't surprise me. Ray had the naiveity Egon had the science obsession and flat voice.

I googled that Ackroyd reference once and it came from an NPR interview with Terry Gross for Fresh Air. It seems it was closer to Tourette's that he had. He did mention Asperger's but he would have to have been diagnosed as an adult and he doesn't say that. He says he was diagnosed with Asperger's as a child. He does have that flat affect.

I'm glad it's not just me who wonders this, albeit from Harold Ramis' performances in the first two movies more than the cartoon (which hasn't aged too well, IMHO, unfortunately).

I CANNOT WAIT for Ghostbusters III: Afterlife, due this summer!!

RIP, Harold Ramis x
