Hi I was just looking up blood type and was wondering if their might be a connection between that and Aspergers.
I don't know... its just a crazy idea, and something to do

You're right, it is crazy - how many people know their blood type?

The last time I saw this questioned on here the only possible correlation that was showing up (though not enough to be statistically significant) was that people were more likely to have something positive rather than negative when it came to blood type.

O+. (I'm skeptical that there is any correlation, but I love answering polls.)

Don't expect even distribution in this type of poll. Certain blood types are much more common in the general population. For example, RH+ blood types are significantly more common, at least in the U.S.: http://www.redcrossblood.org/learn-abou ... lood-types

Certain blood types may seem unusually common here, but that doesn't indicate that they're any more common among autistic people versus among the general population.

O+ probably no correct correlation seaming as some blood types are more common than others anyway without adding factors. :p

How could you not know your blood type? you get it tested at birth, they give your mother a card with your blood type on it, it's even written on your "health book" thing (no idea how you say that in english, where your vaccinations are noted)

O+ is the most common followed by A+

AB- is the rarest

people with O+ blood type can receive a transfusion from any blood type. A+ can get A- and O- blood transfusions.

The percentage of people with a particular blood type varies by race. 9% of Caucasians have b+ while 25% of Asians are B+

I don't know exactly. I'm most likely B+ (both parents Rh+), but could be also B-. I didn't test myself on Rh factor.

I'm in the US and they didn't test my blood type at birth. It was tested when my mother needed to prove paternity to get child support.

If she hadn't needed to do that I don't think it would have been tested until one time when I was 17 and in the hospital.

I didn't learn my blood type until I had surgery.
