I often spend time rehearsing conversations in my head until I can make myself sound normal or get the message across clearly.

I totally do thissss!! !! !! And then I get flustered when the conversation goes in a different direction than the one I planned out in my brain... so then I try to get back to that conversation track.. Also I day dream constantly and then about possible conversations that may take place.. and then when they do, I follow the track that I had thought out in my mind (even if it is not appropriate or good) without even realizing it.

If the conversation goes in an unexpected direction, I usually try to find ways to cut it short without being rude or being awkward.

This is so me. Also, when the conversation goes off track, my tongue can get tied, and words can start coming out as gibberish.
