I still have my job, and I did work a very small part of 3 shifts, but for a month now, I've been out on FMLA.

I wish I was IN work for a month. I'm 53 with health problems and been written off by employers long ago.

pity have not found a understanding company,
dad;a diabetic aspie who always did truck driving then fork lift driving is well in his sixties, retired some years ago and his old company threw a massive retirement bash for him, plus they still ring him up even sometimes asking for him to come back.

You've got more hair than me going by your avatar. I see you are from Ohio; my first real girlfriend was an American exchange student from Ohio university studying in England for six months; she grew up in Cleveland.

I was watching an awesome documentary on the Eastside of Cleveland yesterday. Looks very very rough, a dangerous place to live. But I found the destruction beautiful.

You should see images of the destruction of Detroit, then.

You'll be in utter bliss!

Are you playing snooker with your dad?

No, I've not seen him in a few weeks. He's busy with college work at the moment.

Edit: Just google "destruction of Detroit" ... you're right, theres some amazing photos on there.

I've been out on leave-of-absence for a month also--slipped on ice April 27, injured myself in 3 places. Worst of it was my tailbone--could not stand, sit or bend without a lot of pain. Since I'm a cashier, I couldn't do my job. Thankfully, nothing broken.

Going back tomorrow, finally.

Been out of work for a year 'n half. And cannot seem to hold down a job. My job has slowly become increasingly less and less as of late:

-My first job I worked for 6 months
-My second job shortly after was for 3 months

and this one is my track record

-My third job after 3 months of being out of work, I worked there for 1 day and got fired the very next day because I cannot drive a truck
