Hard to describe... and it happened a lot today even though it's happened for years. For no apparent reason, I just get random ASMR-style shivers all throughout my body. I mean yeah... it feels nice and stuff, but it's also kind of confusing and weird. I don't know if this is an everyone thing, an aspie thing, or a just me thing... that's why I'm posting here.

I get these random shivers too and I've had them for as long as I can remember. I'm guessing that it's probably normal and not really something to worry about.

in some cases it can be caused by medications

This happens to me (and I'm not taking any medication).

Happens occasionally. Not under any meds.

No meds... Maybe it's subconscious frisson?

I get a shiver that goes right up my spine occasionally and then "wiggles" out to all my extremities and head causing me to have a 2-second shake. I usually say something like "whoo" when it happens, because I am not expecting it. This has happened all my life, and I am not on any medication.

It happens to other people in my family, but it seems to happen to me the most. Sometimes I will go for a few weeks without it happening, and other times it will happen much more often.

I get these too. I've noticed it happens more when I'm tired. I also get a negative version sometimes. It's like when a hand or foot falls asleep but running up my spine. I feel like that's typically related to some negative stimulus.

I do get shivers randomly but also I can control it which means that I can get goosebumps whenever I want to.
