I noticed that the little kid side of me is much more emotional than the adult side. When I am in adult mode I tend to be more business like get it done mode. When in kid mode I have many more complex emotions and tend to be in them more. Does anyone else who has a kid side notice this? I do get emotional in adult mode also sometimes but not nearly as much and it seems like my emotions in adult mode are not as complex.

I don't really look at it in terms of kid mode or adult mode. I see emotions as being more of a scale. Someone can be an adult but on the inside be like a two year old. Whereas very young people can be as well developed as a 40 year old. But you do have a child self and when this is in control you can feel afraid and do terrible things just to stop yourself from being afraid. When this happens you have to learn to take care of it, be patient with it until it quietens down and stops being afraid. This is about being your own parent and providing the emotional understanding you never received from your own parents.

Yeah. I have conversations with myself sometimes, the adult part soothing the child part. I often wonder if people would think I was loony if they actually heard me talking to myself like that.
