I have a huge list too long to even put in here not that most would know wth most of this stuff is. Mostly radios, electronics, and test gear. Why am I so attached? Well most I get in a sad state of repair or neglect and then I heal them I suppose you could say. The more I work on an item the more attached I get. And yes I do use them once repaired as well. Just when I get something significantly better as I always collect, I find it near IMPOSSIBLE to ever get rid of the ones I have. In typical aspie fashion they are all neatly hooked up and working in a very functional setup. For those I don't have enough room for I have shelving units to house them and retrieve them for use whenever I feel like. Yea I am obsessed with this stuff. :P

a toy rabbit named Brer, just about every item in my room - I keep the most important things in 'my' room :) I become so attached to certain clothes I wear them until they fall apart and hate replacing them.

Do Tony Attwood's "emotion scrapbooks" count? Having spent a lifetime (well, 32 years) in politics, it is very common for politicians and activists to build lists of accomplishments for later reference. To me, mine is as much an emotion scrapbook as Attwood describes ("...the book can include a photograph of a rare spider for the person who has a special interest in insects and spiders. It is important to remember that the scrapbook illustrates the pleasures in the person's life...." "Pictures may also be chosen to illustrate how what may appear to be insurmountable problems can be overcome...." "...include compliments that the person has received, records of achievement such as certificates, and memorabilia...." --The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome, pages 152-153).

I also especially like one of those metal bent-nail puzzles. I have known the solution since I was a teen-ager, but it is calming to take apart and put back together. Hehe.

Too many things to name. When someone asks the question "What would you grab if there was a fire?" I'm dismayed to find that I can't decide -- nearly all my belongings mean something important and irreplaceable to me. :? Objects became something to sentimentally attach to when I was a child, because apart from my mother, people were too complicated and difficult and scary to get too attached to, and objects never let me down or hurt me.
