I am supposed to be taking my 100mg of Quetiapine about now, but I'm honestly scared to take it.

I had 50mg yesterday, doctor wants me on 100mg today, 200mg tomorrow until I get to 400mg. The 50mg I had yesterday KO'ed me. I didn't like the drowsy feeling it gave me, I couldn't even talk properly and I HAD to sleep.

I don't want to take it now. I don't want to feel those effects. My partner is monitoring me to make sure I take it, I've tried to tell her that the side effects are awful and I really don't want them. But, without them my whole mental health goes to pot.

What to do?

It's 12am here, I will call them in the morning. I am not going to take it tonight. I really don't want to be on these and end up like a zombie.

You won't end up like a zombie in the end. Your body will adjust once you've been on it long enough. But you should still have a conversation with your doctor.

Tell your doctor you feel like even 50mg was too much, I mean from the sound of it 400mg could be dangerous for you if only 50mg KO'ed you. Perhaps there are other medications that could be tried or perhaps a lesser dose of that. I have been prescribed that before when I was in the psych ward to help with anxiety but it just made me all drowsy but irritable at the same time so that is what I told them and was switched to something else 400mg seems like a lot.

I wouldn't be too sure, drugs like that aren't exactly easy on the body or brain.

I do feel like 400mg is way to much. From what I've read the drowsiness never goes away, and if I'm taking 100mg 4 times a day that's going to make me constantly drowsy. The medication has a half life of 7 hours so it's going to be constantly running in my system all day.

Going to call doctor in a moment and explain.

Don't take it then. It doesn't seem you're bad enough to take it. Usually, people who're put on it are far gone and they'll do anything to escape how they're feeling, so being zonked out is a positive thing.

It'll always knock you out to some extent, as it's a potent anti-histamine (which your body doesn't tend to tolerate like other types of sedatives/tranqs).
