Long story short, I have Asperger's, and I'm most likely going to be homeless for the remainder of my life. I will most likely not be using churches or anything for shelter. Any advice?

I was once in a very similar situation.

Get to a mental hospital where you need to get diagnosed with Aspergers and then apply for disability.

I have already been diagnosed with Asperger's. I've spent a lot of time in mental hospitals in the past, I will never go back. I was denied disability.

Reapply. Assuming you live in the US, they apparently deny most people at least once. You can also hire a lawyer who will be paid from your back pay from your initial application.

Street living can be dangerous. You might want to consider a southern city where the winters are not too severe. When the temperature gets really cold and the shelters are full, you can go to a public hospital and tell them you have a sore throat. They will put you at the end of the line and you will have a warm place to stay for the night.

Large cities often have structures that have been abandoned and can serve for housing. However, these areas are often where vulnerable people can be exploited. You may want to ask a cop if you run across one that looks bored about what places and resources he is familiar with.

You may want to check out different churches, not all of them want to impose restrictions on you. Also many grocery stores and restaurants have learned that they can "donate" food to a church and write the full value off their taxes. As a result, you can find some good food periodically at some of these churches.

Being homeless gives you one resource that most people do not have, time. You can use this to out wait bureaucratic departments and may even be able to get housing and other resources.

Have fun?

You'll most likely survive no matter what, so you should probably do "interesty" stuff whilst you're homeless.

I'd fish a lot, for example.

^this, and if you get denied again appeal the decision....that is how I was able to get approved.

As for the rest why wouldn't you be using churches or anything for shelter? If you end up in an area with cold winters you might not have much choice other than finding some kind of shelter so I wouldn't set that in stone just yet. I know in my city there are motels that have cheaper rates for like a week that homeless people sometimes use....and of course homeless shelters I am sure churches that do chairity stuff, but I doubt all charity and resources for homeless come from churches if you really are uncomfortable with that.

Do you have any friends/family you get along with at all that you could stay with at least for periods of time?

I already do live in a southern city, so that's good.

I also have Avoidant PD, I hate being around people, especially people who will judge me for being homeless. I'd rather just die. No I do not have any friends or family, part of the reason I'm in this situation.

Lose yourself on a college campus - i know a guy that survived like that for years after getting his degree - sleeping on the floors of dorms between beds and generally bumming a kip here and a kip there and just about everywhere - he was my assistant in a proper job and proper office until he lost his rag with the two in line above me and walked out never to be seen again - i heard he did time for assaulting a copper years later - completely off his head

High school dropout, I have pretty much no skills that can make money. I could do physical labor if I could get hired and not have to interact with people. That can't happen though.

If it is cold then try to find a large sheet of cardboard, lay it on the ground then sleep on top of it. It will reduce your loss of heat into the cold ground

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Are there any distant relatives like an Aunt or an Uncle, you might call, write to, or email? Even if you haven't seen them in 10 years or more, they might be willing to help.

I recommend not asking more than three, and maybe just one or two, because it's too demoralizing otherwise. And there's all kinds of reasons a relative might say no and feel they're not able to help, but on the other hand, someone might say yes.

The only family I have is my Mom's family that lives on the other side of the country, and I have a bad history of abuse with them. I will never go back there. I've always known that I can't fit into society, and I am destined for outcast and homelessness.

I'm sorry your family was abusive. That was not cool of them, and they damn well should have known better. In particular, they should have allowed a child who was different to be different.
