My teeth are a little yellow because I find it hard to brush my teeth both morning and night. I hear a lot of aspies have extremely structured daily routines, well my is completely unstructured, and perhaps that's why I'm bad at such things. Does anyone else have a completely unstructured day? Who else has stains on their teeth?

I'm too unstructured. I have trouble brushing my teeth. The dentist has been on my case lately, so I am out of money and brilliantly smiling.

C'mere, lemme smile at you, you'll go blind.

You are SO not alone, I have a hard time with regularly brushing my teeth too. I don't know why, I guess it's just not part of my routine, sometimes I will manage to add it to my routine for a while but it only takes skipping once or twice and I have to start over.

Well... the opposite can also be a problem too. I brush my teeth way too much. The second I feel any 'fuzz' on my teeth, I run off to the bathroom to brush.
The result is that it wears down the enamel (and since I also grind my teeth, that's not good). It also erodes the gum line.

I have a thing for flossing too... but that's not as compulsive as the tooth brushing.

i mentioned this in my shameful secret thread... but yeah, i tend to not so much over brush my teeth... as gnaw and chew on my tooth brush whilst brushing my teeth. think it's what got me to stop eating the toothpaste... whicvh i occasionally still do. my favorite flavor is the regualar old-school crest brand that just has cavity protection... has a red triangle on the end of the tube.

there are other things that cause less-than-peraly-white teeth though... like coffee HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

so don't beat yourself up

I didnt brush for years, and it was because it was not in my routine. As soon as I put it in my routine (deodorant, meds, teeth, hair, shave, cologne) i cant now NOT do it.

Yep, had a problem with this my whole life, and my teeth have suffered because of it. Reminder kiddies: ALWAYS brush your teeth or you, too, will end up with a $5,000 dentist bill.

i have bad teeth as well. i can't seem to keep up with brushing my teeth regularly. either i'm too tired, too lazy, don't feel like it, or don't care.

i don't like structure. it gives me goosebumps thinking that i'm going to do the same thing day after day after zzz...*someone pokes me with a stick* huh? oh, right, i just hate cleanliness and structure.

I brush often but the taste of toothpaste....Yuk! So I do not use toothpaste often. I do notice my teeth get a lot cleaner with toothpaste so I assume I'm not brushing enough when I do not use toothpaste.

You can brush with baking soda and swish with hydrogen peroxide (spit it out) if you don't like regular toothpaste.

Tom's of Maine tastes less disgusting.

I hate caring for my teeth but I force myself :(.

wow, and I thought it was odd that I've had this kind of problem before.

Doing a lot better with it now, mainly because the smoking makes them more yellow than I'd like...

I know I know, "stop smoking," I've got mixed feelings on that.

There are lots of different flavours now.
You don't have to stick with mint anymore.
They even have non-floride toothpaste too.

i go weeks w/out brushing. i hate it.
i only shave the morning of days i have to go out and do something... because if i dont my mum makes a huge deal about it.
my mum used to check my toothbrush if i used it... she gave up.
now she makes me do the dishes everyday before she gets home from work, i think its like an experiment to see if she can force me to do it. i didn't do it and she flipped out as if i was the horrible person who wouldn't even do one thing.
its not that i mean to not do things, i just don't do them. i also don't do things for myself that i want done. some just call me lazy.
