My dad especially acts like he is. He is obsessed with his job, sports, and all things mafia and when he looks at/talks about it, he gets excited and rubs his hands together and grimaces. He also fights with everyone incessantly and calls the guys at work "his friends" but all they do is ask him to help them for free and that is the only time they call him. He doesn't notice. He just texts and calls his buddies like he's 12 and has rage issues. My mom acts more normal but she has crying fits and says that "nobody loves her" and she twitches and picks at stuff and doesn't like change. She is also afraid to drive in certain areas and avoids things that she think are
"dangerous." Both of them like to listen to old music from the 1980s, over and over again. They fight constantly and always have to have things their own way. My mother gets really upset when her things are not arranged right or when things are not in order and she likes to watch teen shows on TV. She has MS and does not work, but she also had a similar mental breakdown at the same age that I did for the same reason (fear of attending high school). My family consists of nonstop arguments between the three of us. I also have many cousins who act loopy, an off-color grandmother (her mom thinks she has AS) and an uncle who had massive texture issues as a child. What do you guys think?

They have Autistic traits and it does tend to run in families. These traits can present for other conditions also.
