My psychiatrist increased my olanzapine to 25mg (above the BNF maximum). My ECG and blood values are sufficient so that's good.

Ever since, my challenging behaviour has decreased. And physically I feel a bit better too.

Just want to say sorry, and also thanks for helping.

SM.

UPDATE: I meltdowned for about 8 hours today I f***ing give up.

Very good to hear, it seemed you were in a very frightening and unpleasant place there for a while. I reduced my Alcohol intake and my challenging behaviour had decreased. Lets hope we can both keep up the good spirits and move on in life. There is no need at all to say sorry.

I know when I was 14 and released from the hospital, my olanzapine dose was 25 mg/day, too. I had lots of challenging behaviors for most of my childhood up to that point, too, but they seemed to decrease after my olanzapine dose was jacked up early on in my stay in the hospital, and stayed decreased even when I went off of olanzapine.

^ that's good to hear.

Unfortunately my challenging behaviour is back. Last night I scratched loads of skin off during a meltdown and today I've been screaming repeatedly and self harming.

Uni studying is going awfully.

I give up.

Sorry for not posting for a while. I've been having severe migraine-aura-migraine-aura recursive episodes and my meltdowns got really bad. My support worker accompanied me to a neurologist appointment on Thursday and I've been put on more migraine meds. If the migraine medications don't work, and any future trials don't work, I will be put on a list for Occipital Nerve Stimulation surgery.

So you can understand why I had meltdowns for ages, and today I'm defensively withdrawing into myself.

My mum and I have migraines too, and they're horrible.

With your severe sensory issues and other problems, you're definitely going through hell..

..and so far you haven't let that stop you. Assuming truthfulness of your posts, you easily show more strength than anybody I know.

Thanks. I had my olanzapine increased to 25mg a week ago. Somehow it's already working! I'm beginning to calm down. I know it's for psychosis and OCD but my anxiety has dropped. Although I have heard of antipsychotics helping with severe anxiety. I am able to think logically now. And emotions aren't that important anymore. Which is great.
