I was just curious. I guess if you count the internet though, that's also part of my everyday routine. However, I can get away from it any time I want, so it's not like I'm actually glued to my laptop every single day.

Anyway, my bedroom routine consists of my laptop and TV being on, my bed being against the wall, grabbing plushies I want to sleep with that night and making sure I've checked my forums for responses to topics and Facebook for any posts I might want to see. My fan also has to be on high during the summer and low or medium during the winter. Also, not to sound like weird or anything about this... but I also sleep in underwear and a t-shirt. The reason is because I got very hot at night. ><

So, does anyone have special routines that you must follow no matter what you do? (I think I asked this before, so I apologize if this is more of a repeat)

When I come home from school, this is my routine:

1. Get online and check favorite websites.
2. Watch GameCenter CX.
3. Watch YouTube videos.

And then I do whatever I want for the rest of the day. I get very annoyed if I can't do these things, though.

That's the exact same with me. The only time I get upset is if the internet goes down. I pretty much do whatever I want while being online.

Every day, all day is just one big routine for me. From the minute I get up until I go to bed.

If I'm not in my routine then I get really depressed.

My routine is basically go to work, then come home and get on my laptop, and either get on the forums or watch Netflix or YouTube. That's pretty much it. If I don't have a routine of some sort than it is hard for me to do anything other than playing video games or staring blankly into space.

My routine is: school, work, school, work, home, homework, dinner, relax, bed.

Mine is something like:

1: Put clothes on.
2: Get something to drink.
3: Check to see if anyone has responded to me online.
4: Listen to music. Same song on repeat usually, what song depends on my mood. Today it's 'Breaking the Same Old Ground' by Marilyn Manson.
5: Read, write, or paint.
6: I MUST take a less than five minute shower before I go to bed.
If I don't get to do 4 or 5 I will either have a meltdown or just sit and stare and do nothing all day. If I don't get to do 6 then I can't sleep.

*I don't know why I put 'put clothes on'. That one should be obvious. Haha. :)

My whole day is a set routine, not the same one everyday but I have different routines for what I am doing that day.
But key parts are the same everyday like I must get out of at an odd time like 7:23 not 7:24, I then must go straight in the shower. Lunches must be sandwiches unless it is christmas or New Year's Day. My tea must always have peas and I can't have tea until I have walked the dog.

All of the stumbling sounds familiar. You should see all the cuts and bruises on my feet from said stumbling.

I work a kinda crappy job just to have a set schedule. Strange?
6:30 a wake up, go to toilet, take meds, personal stuff, etc.
6:40 make coffee
7:00-7:25 have coffee, get dressed for work, read some forums
7:25-7:30 walk to work, sometimes stop for a Red Bull or another coffee
8:00-2, 3, or 4p Work
sometime after work I'm home, 2-6p
6:00 or so is dinner or going out for dinner/takeout
7:00 or 8:00 - 9:30 or 10:00 whenever I'm sleepy-- play World of warcraft, civ 5, or read forums/do chores (if bored)
10:00 go to living room to read before going to bed, usually fall asleep there to wake up 2 or 3 hours later then go to bed for real
I wake up 2-3 times in the night before I wake up at 6:30 alarm even waking up at 6am and realizing I have 30 minutes more so I fall back asleep, very annoying :(

Every day is pretty much the same for me. I get up at 6:00 AM to get ready for school. Then I head out the door at 7:00 and get there shortly before eight. Then, I pace around the commons for about an hour and drink a few cups of coffee while I wait for everyone else to show up. Occasionally I offer to help Steve, our school's Custodian. He has a certain level of open disdain for a lot of the students that makes them really not like him, but I like it because I know that when he's nice to me, he's being genuine. After all, he certainly doesn't feel obligated to be nice to any of the other students, why would he feel obligated to be nice to me?

Then I have History, Algebra, lunch, programming (this year I'm learning C++), life science & English. Then, I go home and get on the computer. Thursdays at 6:00 PM my dad drives into town and I have dinner with him at the same restaurant where we always sit at the same table and I always get the same thing. We always have the same waiter, so after a while he just stopped asking me what I want to eat because he already knows.

Other than that one thing on Thursdays, I usually just say on the computer either lurking here on wrongplanet, watching youtube videos, playing gaia or something like that until I have to go to sleep. Of course, sometimes I can't get to sleep in which case I go on youtube and look up some ASMR videos.

My routine during the week is so predictable by others that even the police officers in the town I live in know when I come and go. It is the same time's every week. Some days it gets a bit out of routine for appointment's and family related outings. But for the most part everything stays the same. I get out of bed at 6:05 am , go to the bathroom. 6:10 am take a shower. 6:15 am dry my hair. 6:20 am put my clothes on. 6:25 am play with my dog. 6:35 am get in my car. 6:36 am go back into the house to get my eye glasses that I left next to my bed. 6:38 am drive to work. 6:56 am clock in at work. Work all day until 3:30 pm. Drive to my second job. 3:45 pm change into work clothes. 3:50 pm clock in. Leave at 8 pm. Go get donuts at 8:05 pm and then drive home while eating the donuts. Arrive at home at 8:20 pm Feed the dog. 8:30 pm play with the dog. 8:40 pm do a load of laundry. 8:45 pm go online check e-mails and forums. Between 9:30 pm to 10 pm watch part of a documentary. Go to sleep with the fan on no later then 10:30 pm. Toss and turn all night and then get up the next morning and do it all again.

Yeah, I really like routine cuz I don't have to think about anything. I like to eat the same time everyday. When looking for work, I consider the hours and wonder if I'll be able to eat at the same time, with whatever hours they need. I switch myself around, fairly well, though. I, pretty much, eat the same thing everyday, too. Also, the first time I go grocery shopping at the beginning of the month, and I get something (food) that I haven't had since the month before, I eat it everyday, until it's gone, and then move-on to something else----I don't eat ONLY that, but..... Also, like another poster said, I like to get the same thing at a restaurant, all-the-time. I used to sit in the same place every time, too; but, sorta, grew-out of that, I guess. I like to watch "The Today Show" everyday, and can get a little, like, "stunned" if I haven't heard that "ba-BA-bum", at the beginning of the show----it can sorta make me feel confused about what to do next, until I can shake it off. I don't even think about it, though, if I have to go to to work, and can't see / hear it, though.

Also, I like getting on the Internet everyday----just like everybody else has said. When the Internet's down, or I can't connect for some reason, I don't know what to do with myself and just sit and stare into space. I've said to myself: "Why don't you just read / do crosswords / whatever, instead?" It's very hard for me to adjust to that "mood" (I guess it is), to do something else.

One of the cable channels in my area used to run a documentary series about the history of the English language. There were several one-hour installments/episodes, and one would air each Saturday am at 5:00. I would set my alarm to wake up and watch it, then go back to sleep afterwards. This schtick went on for several months. I was quite discombobulated when the entire series was replaced on air with something else.

I'm sitting here shaking my head at myself and how bizarre that ritual actually was!

My whole day is full of micro-routines in which I do the same things in the same ways; particularly making myself breakfast in the morning, and all the details of how I do that, and how I get ready for work. I function least well just after getting up, so if everything is "by rote" I'm less likely to forget something in the process of getting ready for my day.
