PDD means "Pervasive Developmental Disorder," which is what autism is, basically.
Usually, when a person is diagnosed with "PDD-Not Otherwise Specified" (under DSM IV, not DSM V), the person is said to have "atypical autism." The symptoms might not be as severe as in other forms of autism, or the symptoms are "atypical," but indicative of autism.

Autism is a

PDD).
Pervasive means widespread; affecting multiple systems.
Autism is pervasive, as it affects your sensory system, your ability to communicate/socialize, your motor actions etc.
