childhood? (For me, I had some friends though D&D and Marvel Comics)
adolescents? (I was on math team and chess club, and I was invovled in debate for 1 semester (it is by far the most demanding extra curricular)
college years?
working?

(I'm not yet senior/elderly)

The period before the age of 7, I would say as I was not so aware of my differences then, and was not bullied so badly at that stage, and I did have times of pleasure in those years, which I have not really had a great deal of since.

Adolescents, that's what I'm in now.
I didn't have friends in childhood. Now I have friends, and I know what is wrong with me. I am also on a lacrosse team.

Working. The first 30 years of my life were hell, but I'm feeling much better now.

each decade of my life had its good points and bad points. I was too naive in childhood, and struggled to make friends in the church and date in my teens. In my twenties, I had the navy and got married, the latter screwed up the former for me and then I was lost in the civilian workplace. At 30, I finally met the girl of my dreams and got my career direction from her and went back to college, was happy for the first time in my life, and found out I was artistic. Then she left me 5 years later and the world returned to shades of grey for a few years. Now, in the last 6 months or so, I have been rebuilding my life, and I think the best is yet to come!

So far life has been a HUGE dissapointment, but the part that sucked less was probably 1-2 grade, and then 9th and now grade. Everything else was a living nightmare, at those two periods I had/have friends that i can rely on. Any other time i was stranded alone on this god damn planet.

I so dearly appreciate the perspective I have in life now.

But I would have to agree with most who say that my childhood, as scary as it was, was the best era so far.

Because I was a blissfully unaware kid tripping through life with a rose-colored outlook. I didn't have agreat childhood. It was a scary time of trial and adjustment to the world. But there's nothing that can compare to being blissfully unaware.

I think it was prior to about age ten. After that, the weight of the world descended.... Its heavy sometimes you know.
