NLD and autism are closely related with regard to symptomology, in fact, some experts don't believe they should be separate conditions at all. It's common for autistics to have a wide gap between their verbal and nonverbal performance: my verbal IQ is 134, nonverbal is 94, and I've been diagnosed with autism level one (essentially Asperger's). If you have doubts about being on the autistic spectrum due to your lack of symptomology, it's unlikely you have NLD.
