Indeed a good documentary on autoimmune diseases and disorders.

I used to have bad asthma as a child but have effectively been symptom-free for more than 10 years. Have been eating a fairly high fibre diet for the last 30 years for general health reasons, unaware that this may potentially have influenced the trajectory of my asthma.

Gah, why does every documentary about health have to have the obligatory scene of the narrator having blood taken. Gives me the willies.

I found this documentary quite revelatory.
There is the potential that ASD is unknown in prehistory,
that in fact it is a product of the agricultural revolution
and acerbated by the industrial one.

All the preconceived ideas about ASD having a genetic base,
may now founder on the dietary intake of families

We are definitely not the result of refrigerator mummies

But we may be the stupid result of constipated mummies!

i've wondered about the effect of radio waves. i read that the first case of autism was only described around 75 - 80 years ago, not really long after radio came into widespread use. and they say that today, around one out of 85 or so kids is autistic. we certainly are living awash in radio frequency energies these days, and AFAIK no studies have ever been done on what effect such an environment may have on us, especially during fetal development.
