I am what some would call an Aspie.

I became friends with a younger relitave with classic Autism online.

Decided to meet up today at last.

Hit it off straight away.

Don't want to share too much here as this is a private friendship. :)

Eye contact with the two us was easy and conversion was relaxed and stress free.

The thing I hate about Autism is the challenge of getting what is in your head to come out your mouth without coming across as strange and this in turn causes stress anxiety and paranoia.

Meeting somebody eles who understood this was like a breath of fresh air. :)

My guess is 99% of NT people can can never fully relate or understand what goes on in the mind of people on the spectrum.

I felt normal today I made a connection and I did not feel akward or anxious. :)

It sounds like you had a great time. I'm glad it worked out for you. :)

That's wonderful!
I'm fortunate enough to know many people with both AS and classic autism. We always seem to get on well.
My daughter's boyfriend has AS. We once had the whole "do you ever feel like?" and "do you ever do this?" conversation that went on for ages. We are so alike in thinking and behaviours it's scary. He's like my second son now. (My real son has AS too).
I'm so glad you made a connection. It's good for both of you. Make sure you keep it up.

i have 2 classic autistic friends

one is a boy, he can speak well but only about Mario or nintendo related, other than that has a lot of stimming and behaviour issues.
we discuss video games together

my other friend is a girl who can barely speak, repetative words, no sentences yet, only scripted "how are you?" "whos picking you up?" and can ask that all day, she likes 7 Little Monsters and The Jungle Book, between the two of us, we cannot really converse but we still get along.

I have been playing Sonic the Hedgehog games since they came out.

The Megadrive games were the best.

The Megadrive was called the Genesis in the USA.

Forgive me but I am about to commit a mortal sin but it the last few years I have come to think the Mario games are better.

no i completely agree, i LOVE mario games, they're structured, easy and fun while sonic games are frustrating, fast and sloppy. i grew up on Mario games, i was only introduced to Sonic in 2009. i only like the characters, drawing them and watching them in Cutscenes and Cartoons or reading about them in comics. i collect action figures and toys, but the games aren't my thing.

i grew up with a NES, a SNES, a N64, a GC, and a WII, but i soon hope to get a WII-U. i also have a GBAsp and have had 3 DS', DS, DSI and 3DS

The best system technically speaking for the 8-bit era is the master system, So many great titles however due to the fact that Nintendo had more licensing power and was more strict about how many titles publishers can publish on their system and how long they must wait until they can publish a game on another platform Nintendo got the upper hand with a few arcade ports that I would have loved to have seen on the SMS.

The best system of the 16 bit would be the SNES however nintendo had a strict policy about what can be depicted on thier systems and want couldn't which kinda bit them on the ass when Mortal Kombat was released which as we know the SNES had better visuals and depending on who you talk to had better controls but lacked the blood and gore that made the game what it was. So the genesis version outsold the SNES. Luckily Nintendo kinda went soft on the censorship by the time MK II. The SNES had some solid titles at the time such as Killer Instinct which can be seen as the SNES version of Genesis Virtua Fighter 2.

I didn't get into the disc based consoles because I thought the load time was too long on many titles it wasn't until the launch of the original x-box that I got back into gaming flash forward to the present I now have a 360 and pretty much play GTA V when I have 4-5 hours to devote to the game

I also have a B&W game boy which I got as a birthday gift and didn't use it too much until Nintendo released a series of Arcade classic titles I quickly bought space invaders and Galaga & Galaxian and I think I have a few other carts as well but they are mostly collection dust

I'm glad you and your relative were able to hit it off Sharkattack :) I had a similar experience last week at my first social skills group meeting. It was my first time really meeting another individual with obvious autistic symptoms, and we got to talking briefly after the meeting, and connected immediately. I'm hoping to make this new person into a friend at some point. I'm glad you found someone you were able to connect with.

GTA SA was solid in it's own right HOWEVER it was GTA V redefined my love for Video Games the best thing about GTA V is the fact it's open there's soo much you can do and see and try...they really out did their selves with that one

Riding the train around the island and shooting pot shots at passing traffic was fun.
