Especially about your interests?
I have been mainly interested in singing since I was about 12, and I've actually gotten more into it over the years. Because of this, I've done a lot of research and watched a lot of instructional videos about singing, as well having a couple vocal coaches in the past. What I have noticed from this is that there is a LOT of bad or ineffective tips/techniques that are shared even by "professionals".
I have had multiple times where I suddenly feel like I want to write literally everything about it that I know, almost like a research paper, not even to necessarily share it with others, but just to have. It all just feels like such important information to me that I need to write it down. I haven't actually done so (yet). I have written some, but once again, I didn't write it with the intent of sharing it. Although if someone wanted to know about it, I seriously doubt they'd get sick of hearing about it before I was done talking; I'd literally be able to talk for hours and hours without the other person responding. I know because sometimes I start talking to my little brother about it, and once I do he starts to get annoyed because I can't change to a different subject, and I won't stop to let him talk
Anyway, is the wanting to collect and document information pretty common for special interests?
