Having only just returned after 2 years away, I am wondering the same, though the members I am missing are those who were around back in 2007/2008.
Is Cockneyrebel still around, for example? Quatermass?

Tallyman and Cornflake left.

Skibum is still here though. And Vicky. I think I remember both of them posting in your threads.

The longer you are on a forum the more people you know drop off. I think posting just runs it's course for people and they lose interest. I try not to get attached to anyone on forums. And there are people who were newbie strangers who have become great forum friends, so the new takes the place of the old. I think of this as like someone in a story who goes on a long journey and meets a lot of interesting characters along the way.

That's too bad, they were really good mods. I really liked Tallyman a lot.

I really like Tallyman too.

They both stopped being moderators. It seemed like they were leaving completely, but I could have misunderstood.

That's a nice attitude and probably makes things easier.

You get familiar with the usernames of posters on here, then when they don't post for a while you miss them.

we live in a world where people are not particularly close to anybody else, even in families.

Yes. I find this distressing and miss people when they go away.

Cockneyrebel is still around is still the Queen of Posts.....
The last time I saw lau and TallyMan was back in April in the Dino-Aspie Ex Cafe. I haven't seen Tim_Tex in a while....
And I myself have been off WP for a while.

Ah right, good to know Cockneyrebel is still here.
I certainly remember you. Maybe I need to look in more of the forum sections to see who else is still posting.
I only really came back to post that I have been officially diagnosed now since that is something people used to do quite a lot here back in the day.
