I think some people. Especially older people. Especially family, believe what they want to believe and are very stubborn about it. I think once they have made up their mind of something, they will stick to it no matter how little solid evidence that have, or how much solid evidence is given to them that they are wrong.

Ezra's right. People will believe what they believe sometimes. They have reasons that make sense to them but maybe not to anyone else. You have to hold on to you. Don't be stuck on this, she doesn't look like she will change her mind and that doesn't make her right it makes her stubborn.
